Don’t let the post-performance break slow down your momentum. Directed by Ballet Memphis company artist Angelina Broad, who personally curated the teaching faculty for this program, our three-day Winter Intensive gives intermediate and advanced dancers the dedicated studio time needed to sharpen classical technique, build endurance, and explore dynamic contemporary and commercial styles right before summer audition season kicks off.

Even better: winter intensive dancers get a direct head start on summer planning. Every dancer who attends the Winter Intensive receives complimentary registration (audition fee fully waived) for our 2027 Summer Intensive Audition.

This year’s audition experience is part of a landmark multi-city collaborative audition event alongside prominent partner companies (full details and partner institutions to be announced soon!). Winter Intensive participants bypass the audition fee entirely and step directly into the room conditioned, confident, and prepared.

Daily Schedule & Disciplines

Dancers train in two focused cohorts (Group A & Group B) to ensure small class sizes and personalized instruction.

10:00 – 11:45 AM | Classical Ballet Technique: Comprehensive morning technique class, including pointe work for Group A.

11:45 AM – 12:15 PM | Dancer Conditioning (Combined Groups A & B): Targeted mat work, core stabilization, and ankle mechanics to build resilience and prevent injury.

12:15 – 12:45 PM | Lunch

12:45 – 3:00 PM | Afternoon Genre Rotations: Two 1-hour master classes daily (with a 15-minute reset), alternating through Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip Hop to challenge phrasing, floorwork, and fast choreography retention.

Capacity in each group is strictly capped to maintain an optimal student-to-teacher ratio.
