A Letter from Our Artistic Director

Dear Friends,

We’re back and excited to bring you a season like never before. This season is completely virtual and we will bring our performances directly to you - on your phone, your laptop, and your TV screens.

We are seizing this moment of change to look at our art without limits and connect with you in new and interesting ways.

This season our artists will be driving creative focus with new works made by, for and about them, foregrounding unique identities, talents, and creativity. Our season will include things you recognize, including a Fall performance, intriguing new work, reprised favorites, Memphis-inspired themes, and the holiday favorite, Nutcracker. But we will also debut live broadcasts, blogs, discussions, behind-the-scenes slices of life, and much more.

We will begin the season with an exciting new project called Say It in which some of our dancers will create completely new dance shorts. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

With our new President and CEO's leadership, our entire team is not only empowered, but emboldened to see the current landscape as an opportunity to be better and do more.

Gretchen gave a wonderful interview to the Daily Memphian that is not to be missed.

In a time where it can be easy to feel disconnected from one another, we look forward to bringing you closer and sharing this season with you and your family.

In friendship,

Steven McMahon
Artistic Director
