Continuing Education Workshops

We welcome Pilates Instructors, Personal Trainers, Fitness Instructors and Physical Therapists to learn and benefit from the STOTT PILATES® method in our Continuing Education Courses (CEC’s). Our workshops can supplement your current training and programming and cover everything from the Fundamentals to Post-rehab, Active Aging, and Sport and Athletic Conditioning. Many of our workshops are ACE approved.

STOTT PILATES® Athletic Conditioning on the Mat

Developed by the Merrithew™ team this workshop demonstrates dynamic movements that take full advantage of the body’s own weight and gravity. Guaranteed to develop ultimate strength and stability, particularly through the core, this workshop features an intense abdominal series, sequences with rotation and mobilization as well as a section dedicated to front and side planks. Learn mat-based sequences in an interval format that increase in speed and intensity and work through the local and global stabilizing and mobilizing systems.

STOTT PILATES® Flexion Free Mat

Pilates Instructors meet a variety of clients who are restricted in their movements for a variety of reasons. Often spinal flexion is contraindicated due to some specified concern. Learn how to modify Pilates exercises in a range of intensity levels to create workouts that achieve the primary goal of limiting spinal flexion while providing an effective full-body workout. Small hand weights, stability cushions and the flex-band® exerciser are used to increase upper body resistance while further challenging the stability of the torso in a neutral alignment.

STOTT PILATES® Power Paced Fitness Circle®

This exciting, fast-paced workout, developed by the Merrithew™ team, uses the Fitness Circle® resistance ring in innovative ways to add variety and challenge to group classes or personal training programs. Learn fun yet demanding programming designed to compliment Matwork and motivate clients. Let the power of the Fitness Circle increase intensity while maintaining a focus on core connection and exercise execution.

STOTT PILATES® Reformer & Cardio-Tramp® Barre Workout

Barre training is taken to a new level in this exclusive workshop designed by the Merrithew™ team. Develop stamina, control, cardiovascular fitness and endurance using the innovative Cardio-Tramp Rebounder with the Reformer. The Cardio-Tramp serves as a sturdy barre support as well as a resilient platform for rebounding work, while the Reformer provides programming options for upper and lower body strengthening with core support. Experience how this program presents elements of dance and flexibility training with the solid foundations of STOTT PILATES in a workout like no other.

STOTT PILATES® Reformer with Fitness Circle®

In this workshop, developed by the Merrithew™ team learn how the Fitness Circle® can bring variety and challenge into group or private Reformer settings. Add more challenge to adductors and abductors of the peripheral limbs as well as assist in activating the core. The resistance ring reinforces correct muscle firing patterns and helps ensure correct positioning while adding an element of fun and variety to each workout.

STOTT PILATES® Athletic Conditioning on the Reformer, Level 4

This extreme Reformer workshop developed by the Merrithew™ team draws from the unique and challenging exercises from previous athletic conditioning workshops and intensifies them. The result is a series of advanced-level moves that place major emphasis on strength and stability of the upper body. This demanding program is presented more as a collection of exercises that can be woven into any other workout and less as a full workout on its own.
