Pay-What-You-Can to Benefit the Artists' Resource Fund

Ballet Memphis Company Artists choreographed and created the 19th installment of their popular series, INTERIORWORKS, which was performed on May 13 & 14, 2022 in the Fly Studio.

The mission of INTERIORWORKS is to aid in the further development of the artists of Ballet Memphis through choreography, performance, and production, and to cultivate new audiences for the continuation of dance in our community.

In addition to the dance performances, musician Aaron James played a musical interlude and the short intermission. Company artist Jonathan David Dummar also sang during his piece, Make Me Whole accompanied by Daniel Ward on the piano, while Donovan Hughes sang as Jonathan improvised a dance to the song "For All We Know" by Donny Hathaway. Jonathan has retired as of the end of this season, and that was his final performance at Ballet Memphis, commemorated with great applause and multiple bouquets.

Admission fees and donations benefited the Artists’ Resource Fund to assist these artists and their futures. The fund is fully managed by the artists, and the money can go to fill a variety of needs such as travel expenses, career transition, and hardship caused by illness or injury.

The artists appreciate your support!
