With more than three decades of experience in the nonprofit performing arts sector, Andrew Goldberg proudly leads Ballet Memphis into its next exciting chapter and beyond. Noted as a creative and unifying community leader, Mr. Goldberg possesses a strong track record of visionary leadership, strategic and operational management, leading people, and constituency engagement.

He came to Ballet Memphis in 2025 from Ballet West in Salt Lake City, where, as Senior Director of External Affairs, he led a 17-person team to help grow the company by 40% over five seasons. Mr. Goldberg also conceived and navigated the creation of the “Living Historic Landmark” legislation for Ballet West’s Nutcracker. First staged in 1944 by Ballet West founder Willam Christensen, the ballet is recognized as the first full-length Nutcracker production in the United States. This designation is the first of its kind for the arts in the country.

Prior to Ballet West, Mr. Goldberg served for over a decade as Vice President of Marketing at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami, where he oversaw 90+ programs annually resulting in $20 million annual revenue. At the Arsht Center, Mr. Goldberg created and produced ArtsLaunch, Miami’s largest annual community kick-off to the arts season, collaborating with more than 120 arts organizations and garnering 9,000+ attendees. His community engagement efforts led to being named 2017 Black Owned Media Alliance Champion of the Year. His earlier career includes leadership positions at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Florida Grand Opera, Brooklyn Philharmonic, and the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Illinois.

Mr. Goldberg holds a Bachelor of Arts in music composition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has earned multiple certifications in nonprofit leadership and fundraising. He has been recognized nationally for his achievements, including being named the American Marketing Association’s Nonprofit Marketer of the Year.
