Jonathan David Dummar

Jonathan David Dummar first joined Ballet Memphis in 2002 and was featured as the Prince in Joseph Jeffries’ Cinderella and was first introduced to Mark Godden’s seminal work, Angels in the Architecture. While dancing for the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, Jonathan danced principal roles in Jerome Robbins’ In the Night, Balanchine’s Stravinsky Violin Concerto, Jiri Kylian’s Return to a Strange Land and Yuri Possokov’s Bells. Since returning to Ballet Memphis in 2015, Jonathan has been featured as Prince Sigfried in Swan Lake, the Prince in Steven McMahon’s Cinderella and has performed the principal pas de deux of Trey McIntyre’s masterwork, Reassuring Effects of Form and Poetry. Jonathan would like to thank his family for supporting him throughout all of his artistic endeavors and would also like to thank God for allowing him to continue to praise Him through movement and performance.
