Pink Ribbon Instructor Training

The life force of the Pink Ribbon program is to ensure that every woman has the ability to regain a sense of well-being from diagnosis through surgery and recovery. This exercise program, designed specifically for the breast cancer survivor, improves range of motion and strength in those areas most affected by breast cancer surgery, treatment and reconstruction.

The goal of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge essential to the successful evaluation of the breast cancer survivor.

This course is open to physical therapists, occupational therapists, Pilates instructors, lymphedema treatment specialists and nurses. Participants will be provided with the knowledge base that is essential to teaching exercise and movement classes to breast cancer survivors. Evidence-based practice and integration of materials from the areas of functional exercise, shoulder rehabilitation and Pilates exercises will be the emphasis of lab sessions.
