Rafael Ferreras received his early ballet training in New York with Dance Theatre of Harlem and Joffrey Ballet, studying at both on full scholarship. He joined Ballet Memphis in 1999. Favorite choreographers include Nacho Duarte, Trey McIntyre, Mark Godden, Elisa Monte and Matthew Neenan. He has danced many leading roles at Ballet Memphis including Cavalier in Nutcracker and Romeo in Romeo and Juliet. He is an audience favorite as Lead Russian in Nutcracker.
