Our entertaining theatre performances reveal to students the beauty of a live performance while cultivating their creativity and appreciation for dance. Shows average 90 minutes in length, and all are appropriate for grades K-12.
Ballet Memphis brings live dance directly to the school with specially selected shows, suitable for grades PreK-12 and those with special needs. Shows range in length from 50–60 minutes, according to the institution’s request, and all are appropriate for grades K-12. Post-performance Q&A with dancers allows access to professional dancers and is the highlight for many students.
These programs combine lectures and dancing in a highly interactive format and are easily tailored to both curriculum and age group (PreK-12). Each session is 20 minutes to one hour, according to the institution’s request. Choices include:
- Dancer as Athlete—Students learn why ballet is no slam-dunk and work with the dancers to transform sports movements into a dance.
- Choreography 101—A professional choreographer demonstrates the process of choreography. Students are selected from the audience to choreograph on the company professional dancers.
From beginners to those who have had training, our master classes allow students to work with our artistic staff and actually train with our professional dancers.
Our certified STOTT PILATES®
