BRANDON RAMEY came to Ballet Memphis in 2009 from the San Francisco Ballet School, where he studied on a full merit scholarship. For Ballet Memphis, Brandon has performed as Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, in Matthew Neenan’s The Darting Eyes, in Trey McIntyre’s Second Before the Ground and The Naughty Boy, in Garrett Ammon’s Stars Stand Still, in Reggie Wilson’s I Am A Man, and in Mark Godden’s Midsummer Night’s Dream and Angels in the Architecture. His repertory also includes Cavalier and Russian in the Nutcracker and George in Shapiro & Smith’s George and Betty’s House. He danced the roles of Tybalt and Hook in Steven McMahon’s Romeo and Juliet and Peter Pan, respectively. Additional training includes Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Boston Ballet School. This is his seventh season with Ballet Memphis. He is married to fellow Company member Virginia Pilgrim Ramey and also teaches Ballet 7 & 8 and a men’s class for the Ballet Memphis School.
