Adding lights and costumes

Even though we're dancing in the same room in which we take daily class and rehearse, the transformation that happens when Studio A becomes a theatrical performance space is magical!

In the last 24 hours, the windows and mirrors were covered, the stage lights were focused and lighting cues written. After sunset last evening, Junior Company dancers put on make-up and costumes and did the final dress rehearsal of the six ballets we're performing this weekend.

Here are a few photographs taken by Karen Campbell last evening:

Julianne Jorgensen stands at the head of the line in Grande Tarantelle.

Lindsey Houston, Cleo Nikodem, Hannah Shelton, and Brittany Harano enjoy the applause for their performance.

Laura Blockman, Emma Filderman, Kamryn Wong, and Joram Mondie in the dramatic lighting of After all that falling.

Kelly O'Daniel and Kianna Wong in the "Air" movement of Handel con attenzione.

Cleo Nikodem, Kim Taylor, and Ashley Hannah Davis silhouetted against the brilliant background in El Sol SueƱo.

A few tickets are still available -- don't miss it!
