Leaping into 30, a review by Jon Sparks for The Commercial Appeal

Leaping into 30 Ballet Memphis opened its 30th season Saturday with a performance under the stars at the Live Garden at the Memphis Botanic Garden. This is the third year the company has started its season at the outdoor stage, and this one worked beautifully. Three new dancers join Ballet Memphis in 30th season.

Meet the new dancers at Ballet Memphis! OSCAR FERNANDEZ (Dancer) is from the small village of Cantabria in the north of Spain. He began dance training at the age of 14 and moved to Madrid at the age of 17 to continue his studies in classical and contemporary dance at the Royal Conservatory of Professional Dance.
